We've split the setup process into parts to make it easier to do. Complete each section in this article one at a time in order to set up the Follow Up Boss integration.

Before you begin...

Make sure your users in Follow Up Boss have matching user names and emails in Sisu. The actions of users that don't have matching information aren't recognized by the integration.

Part 1: Get the FUB API Key

1. Log into Follow Up Boss as the account owner.

ℹ️ Note

You must use the OWNER account, not just an admin. This is critical, an admin account will not work for the integration!

2. Click Admin in the top toolbar.

3. Scroll down to the Integrations section, and click on API Keys & Lead Email.

4. Click the Create API Key button.

5. In the Name field, enter Sisu FUB Integration. Then click Create API Key.

6. Copy the API key and paste it somewhere you can easily find it. You'll need this key later on in the setup process.

Part 2: Choose Your Settings and Finalize Setup

1. In Sisu, go to Admin > Integration Hub.

2. Click the Follow Up Boss tile. This opens the integration setup window.

3. Click Next (bottom-right corner). This takes you to Configuration setup.

4. In the API Key field, paste the API key from part 1.

Activity Settings

5. Scroll down to the first setting: Sync Follow Up Boss Activities to Sisu. Click the toggle to enable or disable the setting. (green = enabled)

About This Setting

This setting is enabled by default. It allows FUB actions (like calls, emails, and texts) to be tracked in Sisu as Activities. If you don't want Activities tracked in Sisu, disable this setting.

6. For the next setting, Count conversations based off of call length, click the toggle to enable or disable the setting. (green = enabled) Then click the Conversation Call Length field and enter a number in seconds to specify a call length.

About These Settings

  • Count conversations based off of call length: Enable this setting if you want Follow Up Boss dialer calls to count as Sisu Conversations. When this setting is enabled, calls are counted as Conversations only if the call is longer than the length specified in the setting below.

  • Conversation Call Length: This setting lets you specify the call length in seconds. This setting only works if the "Count conversations..." setting is enabled.

8. If desired, enable the setting Count All Call Logs as Sisu Conversations. (green = enabled)

About This Setting

Enable this setting if you want the manually logged calls in FUB to count as Sisu Conversations.

ℹ️ Note: Calls marked as "Bad Number," "Voicemail," or "Left Message" will not count as a Conversation.

Transaction Settings

9. If desired, enable the setting Sync Transactions from Follow Up Boss to Sisu. (green = enabled)

Then use the Buyer/Seller Transaction Stages to Track settings to specify when in the life of a transaction the integration should pass information between Follow Up Boss and Sisu.

About These Settings

  • Sync Transactions from Follow Up Boss to Sisu: If enabled, the integration will create a Sisu transaction when a Follow Up Boss deal is created or updated.

  • Buyer/Seller Transaction Stages to Track: Click the "Value" drop-down to select a stage. Information will be passed between FUB and Sisu for any stages selected here. If you want to track additional stages, click the "Add Value" button.

10. If desired, enable the setting Create Sisu Transactions from FUB Appointments. (green = enabled)

About This Setting

When this setting is enabled, if you set an appointment for a FUB contact, the integration creates a transaction in Sisu with a status of Appointment Set. A corresponding FUB Deal is also created.

It's also important to note that for seller transactions, Sisu pulls the FUB contact's address into the new transaction regardless of whether or not it's entered into the deal.

11. If desired, enable the setting Ignore Updates from follow up boss after Sisu transaction status. (green = enabled) Then click the Ignore Updates After Sisu Status field and select a status.

About These Settings

  • Ignore Updates from follow up boss after Sisu transaction status: If you enable this setting, the following occurs. When a Sisu transaction reaches the status specified in the setting "Ignore Updates After Sisu Status," the transaction will no longer be updated when changes are made to the corresponding FUB deal card.

    • Once the Sisu transaction reaches the specified status, the FUB deal card will be updated with any changes made to the corresponding Sisu transaction.

This is especially helpful if Sisu is where your entire workflow for signed clients or pending clients is. This setting allows you to make sure that the agent isn't making changes to the deal card that you're unaware of.

  • Ignore Updates After Sisu Status: This setting allows you to specify the status that determines when FUB updates are ignored. This setting only works if the "Ignore Updates from follow up boss..." setting is enabled.

12. If desired, enable the setting Sync Commission Info from the Follow Up Boss Deal Card to the Sisu Transaction. (green = enabled)

About This Setting

When this setting is enabled, the following commission information is sent from the FUB deal card to the corresponding Sisu transaction:

  • Information in the FUB "Commission" field is sent to the Sisu "GCI" field

  • FUB "agent split" information is sent to Sisu's "Gross Agent(s) Paid Income" field

Lead Source Settings

13. If desired, enable the setting Add new leads to Lead Source Count report. (green = enabled)

About This Setting

If you want to track FUB lead source activity in Sisu, enable this setting. As you add deals with lead sources in FUB, this increments the lead source counts and At Bats in Sisu.

For example...let's assume a lead comes into the integration that was created in FUB on June 23, 2023. If this setting is enabled, we add a lead count to the Counts and Expenses page (found by going to Admin > Lead Sources) of the corresponding lead source for June 2023.

14. If desired, enable the setting Count Pond Activity towards at-bats. (green = enabled)

About This Setting

When this setting is enabled, if you are the lead agent in a FUB pond and a lead get assigned to the pond, your "at bat" count in Sisu goes up by 1.

15. Click the Next button. This takes you to Activity Stages setup.

Activity Stages Setup

16. For those who want to track Activities in Sisu, you can further specify if you only want Activities tracked during certain stages of the deal. Complete the following steps to define the stages that will allow Activity tracking.

  • a. Click the Add Value button. This makes a drop-down field appear.

  • b. Click the drop-down and either choose a single stage, select "All," or select "None."

  • c. Repeat these steps if you want multiple stages (but not all stages) to allow Activity tracking.

About Activity Stages Setup

If the setting Sync Follow Up Boss Activities to Sisu is enabled, certain actions in FUB (like calls, emails, and texts) will be tracked in Sisu as Activities. But what if you only want Activities tracked when deals are in certain stages? This part of the integration setup allows you to specify which stages allow for Activities to be tracked in Sisu.

  • Track during all stages: If you want FUB actions tracked as Sisu Activities during all stages of a deal, select "All" from the drop-down.

  • Don't track at all: If you don't want Activities tracked in Sisu, select "None" from the drop-down.

  • Track certain stages: If you’d like to track Activities for only certain stages of the deal, you can choose a select number of stages. Use the "Add Value" button to add more stages.

⚠️ Important Note!: If you don't choose "all," be aware that your Sisu Dashboard's Activity numbers and Follow Up Boss call/text/email accountability reports will NOT match since the integration will be only tracking Activities in Sisu during the stages you selected in this setting.

17. Click the Next button. This takes you to Transaction Form setup.

Transaction Form Setup

18. If you want the deal card in FUB to link to a Sisu form, do the following:

  • a. Click the Add Value button. This makes a drop-down field appear.

  • b. Click the drop-down and choose one of your Sisu forms from the list.

  • c. Repeat these steps if you want to link to multiple forms.

  • d. Click the trash can icon to delete a row.

ℹ️ Note

This feature adds a link to the specified form right on the deal card. This is meant to give agents quick access to their most important forms. We recommend keeping the number of linked forms to a minimum.

It's also important to note that links to buyer-side forms will only appear on buyer deal cards and seller-side forms will only appear on seller deal cards.

19. Click the Next button when finished to move on to Transaction Field setup.

Transaction Field Setup

20. If you don't want to customize the Sisu fields on your deal card, keep this setting enabled (green = enabled) and skip to step 22. If you do want to customize the Sisu fields on your deal card, disable this setting and move on to step 21.

About This Setting

When you enable this integration, default Sisu fields are added to the deal card:

  • 1st Time Appt Set

  • 1st Time Appt Met

  • Signed Date

  • MLS Live Date

  • 1st Showing Date

  • 1st Offer Date

  • Under Contract Date

  • Address Line 1

  • City

  • State

  • Postal Code

  • Forecasted Close Date

These fields sync with corresponding fields that are already on a form in Sisu. For example, if you enter a date into the 1st Time Appt Set field on the deal card, the 1st Time Appt Set field in Sisu will automatically be updated accordingly.

If you disable this setting, you're telling the integration that you want more or fewer fields than what's listed above. Only the fields specified in the next step will appear on the deal card.

21. If you DO want to customize the Sisu fields on the deal card, do the following:

  • a. Click the Add Value button. This makes a drop-down field appear.

  • b. Click the drop-down and choose a Sisu field from the list.

  • c. Repeat these steps for every field you want to add. Make sure to add pipeline fields like "1st Time Appt Set" in addition to any new fields you want to see.

  • d. Click the trash can icon to delete a field.

About This Setting

This is where you specify which fields appear on the deal card. Only fields that are currently on at least 1 of your sisu forms will show up in the drop-downs. Vendor fields are the exception and cannot be added as a custom field. We recommend adding these fields first:

  • 1st Time Appt Set

  • 1st Time Appt Met

  • Signed Date

  • MLS Live Date

  • 1st Showing Date

  • 1st Offer Date

  • Under Contract Date

  • Address Line 1

  • City

  • State

  • Postal Code

  • Forecasted Close Date

Then choose up to 10 additional fields to add.

22. Click Finish when you're done adjusting settings. The integration is now on and ready to use!

⚠️ Important Note!

After you turn on the integration, 2 pipelines (Sisu Sellers and Sisu Buyers) are added automatically to FUB. These pipelines are a key part of the integration. Do NOT rename the Sisu pipelines or the associated stages! This will result in integration errors.

23. Communicate your specific configuration preferences to your team.

How to Use the Sisu "Contact URL" Field to Open FUB Lead Profiles

As soon as you enable the Follow Up Boss integration, you can add a field called Follow Up Boss Contact URL to any form. This field isn't added to your Sisu forms by default. Agents can open a Sisu transaction that is linked to Follow Up Boss and then click the button in this field to open the corresponding FUB Lead Profile.
