Inviting Vendors to the Client Portal

Written by Kayla Latta

This article explains how to manage vendor access to Client Portal, including how to enable invites, trigger access, and resend invitations. Giving vendors access allows them to stay informed on transaction progress, collaborate more efficiently, and reduce back-and-forth communication by viewing key details in one place.

Vendor Client Portal Access & Available Features

The features vendors can access in Client Portal depend on your Sisu subscription.

Premier Subscribers
With the Premier subscription, vendors have full collaboration access within Client Portal, including:

  • Transaction Details: View all transactions they’ve been added to, along with full details.

  • Roadmaps: Track progress and view each transaction’s roadmap.

  • Comment Threads (Team & Clients):

    • Start and participate in conversations with both your team and clients

    • Use @mentions to notify team members and clients

  • Documents:

    • Access shared document folders (when permission is granted)

    • Upload and interact with documents

Essentials Subscribers
With the Essentials subscription, vendor access is more limited:

  • Transaction Details: View transactions they’ve been added to, along with details.

  • Comment Threads (Team Only):

    • Communicate internally with your team (cannot communicate with clients and only have access to internal team conversations)

    • Start and reply to comment threads

    • Use @mentions to notify team members

Managing Vendor Access to Client Portal

This section is intended for Admin & TC users within Sisu.

Only the following Vendor types can be granted access to the Client Portal:

  • Escrow

  • Mortgage

  • Lender

  • Attorney

  • Title

To allow these vendors access to the Client Portal, you’ll need to enable platform access for each vendor. When enabled, vendors will receive an email invitation when they are selected in a transaction. The email invite prompts them to create a username and password to log into the Client Portal.

To enable or disable vendor invites, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Vendors.

  2. At the top of the page, ensure "Invite vendors to the Client Portal" is enabled.

    • If enabled, button will show as Disable.

    • If disabled, button will show as Enable.

  3. To the right of the Vendor you'd like to invite, click the Edit button.

  4. Check or uncheck the Allow Platform Access box:

    • Checked: The vendor can receive an invite to Client Portal after being added to a transaction.

    • Unchecked: The vendor will not be able to access Client Portal.

You can also quickly see which vendors have access enabled by viewing the Allow Platform Access column on the Vendors page:

  • Yes indicates the vendor can receive invites.

  • No indicates the vendor does not have access.

Triggering Vendor Invites

You can trigger a vendor invite email by selecting the vendor in a transaction. To add a vendor to a transaction, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions Page.

  2. Click in-line with a transaction to open it.

  3. Select a transaction form that includes one of the following fields:

    • Mortgage Company

    • Title Company

    • Escrow Company

    • Attorney

    • Lender

  4. in that vendor field, choose the vendor from the dropdown selection.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the form and click Update.

As soon as you click Update, an email (like shown below) will be sent to the vendor notifying them that they've been added to a transaction. This email also contains an enrollment link that vendors can use to generate a username and password to access the Client Portal.

Manually Resending Vendor Invites

This section is intended for Admin & TC users within Sisu.

After an admin enables vendor invites to Client Portal, invite emails will be sent out the next time a user selects that vendor in a transaction. If needed, you can manually resend the email at anytime by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Vendors.

  2. To the right of the Vendor you'd like to invite, click the Send Platform Invite button.
