Part 1: Add a Notification Template

First, let's create a template for your notification email. When the email is triggered, this template will be sent out.

  1. In Sisu, go to Admin > Tasks.

  2. In the menu on the left, click Notification Templates, and then click Add New.

  3. Enter a Name for your email template.

  4. Enter information into the Template Content field. This will be the body of your email.

  5. If desired, use the Add Field to add merge fields.

Note: When the email is sent, Sisu replaces the merge fields with the recipient's personal information.

  6. If desired, add a transaction form's URL to your email. To do this, do the following:

    1. Go to the form in Sisu that you want to include in your email, and copy the URL at the top of the screen.

    2. Paste the form's URL in the Template Content field.

    3. Click the Add Field drop-down, and type Transaction ID. Then select it from the menu. This makes a transaction ID merge field appear.

    4. Replace the ID in your URL with the merge field.

  7. When finished editing your email template, click Add. Your new template now appears in the list of notification templates.

Part 2: Create a Task List for Your Notification Email

A task list includes a list of tasks that agents need to complete, as well as notification emails related to the tasks. You're going to need a task list that can be the home of your new notification email. When the task list is applied to a transaction, your notification email will be applied along with any other tasks in the list.

*IMPORTANT*: If you've already created the task list that will house your notification email, continue on to Part 3. If not, continue with the following steps:

  1. In Sisu, go to Admin > Tasks. This opens the Task Lists screen.

  2. Enter a Name and Description that will remind you which notification this list will be used for.

  3. Select an option from the Applies To drop-down menu.

  4. Use the Trigger On field if you want the list to appear at a certain time in the life of a transaction. Select No Trigger if you want the list to be added manually when needed.

  5. Click Submit. Your new task list now appears in the list below.

Part 3: Create a Notification Task and Associate Your Email Template to the Task

Now it's time to create a notification task for your new notification email. When creating a task, you can associate your email template to the task, and you can associate your task to a task list.

  1. In Sisu, go to Admin > Tasks.

  2. In the menu on the left, click Tasks.

  3. Click the Task Type drop-down, and select Notification.

  4. Click the Notification Template drop-down, and select the template that you just created.

  5. Fill out all the remaining fields.

  6. When finished, click Add.

Now you have a notification task that's added to a task list. Once the task list is applied to a transaction and the notification task is triggered, your customized notification email will be sent to the specified recipients.
