Configuring the Dotloop Integration

Written by Kayla Latta

This guide walks you step-by-step through setting up the Dotloop integration in Sisu. Follow each section in order to ensure everything is configured correctly.

Required Prerequisites

Before configuring the Dotloop integration, you'll need to have the integration enabled for your Sisu account.

Log in to Sisu and click the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner to contact our Support team. 💬 Let them know you'd like the Dotloop integration enabled. In most cases, a team member will respond within a few minutes and can quickly enable it for you.

⚠️ Important: The Dotloop integration settings will not be available until this step has been completed.

Part 1: Team Setup

  1. Login to Sisu as an Admin or TC user.

  2. Select the Sure Send tile.

  3. Click the Configure button.

→ Configuration

  1. Sisu Connection - Your team's API key will auto generate here.

  2. Folder Visible to Clients - The first time you fetch documents from Dotloop for a transaction, a Dotloop folder is created under the transaction's Documents tab in the Client Portal. Enable this setting if you want clients to be able to view the Dotloop folder and its documents.

  3. Folder Visible to Vendors - The first time you fetch documents from Dotloop for a transaction, a Dotloop folder is created under the transaction's Documents tab in the Client Portal. Enable this setting if you want vendors to be able to view the Dotloop folder and its documents.

  4. Click Next.

→ Loop Creation Options

  1. Create Loops As - Choose who new Dotloop Loops will be created under, Transaction Agent or Transaction TC:

    • Transaction Agent

New Loops will be created under the Dotloop profile of the agent assigned to the transaction.

      • Each agent must authenticate their Dotloop account with Sisu after team setup is complete (see User Setup).

      • Once authenticated, agents can create Loops for transactions they are assigned to.

      • Authenticated agents, admins, and transaction coordinators (TCs) can click Create Loop in Sisu to create a new Loop.

      • If an admin or TC creates the Loop, it will still be created under the assigned agent's Dotloop profile.

      • Admins and TCs do not need to authenticate their own Dotloop accounts unless they also need to create Loops under their own profile.

      • Only Individual Dotloop profiles can create Loops. Team and Admin Dotloop profiles cannot.

⚠️ Important: If you want all new Loops to be created under a single Dotloop account, select Single Transaction Agent instead. Be sure to complete the Setting Up the Single Account Configuration section after team setup.

    • Transaction TC

New Loops will be created under the Dotloop profile of the transaction coordinator (TC) assigned to the transaction.

      • Each TC must authenticate their Dotloop account with Sisu after team setup is complete (see User Setup).

      • Only authenticated TCs can create new Loops.

      • TCs can create a Loop from any transaction in their Sisu account by clicking Create Loop.

  2. Vendor Types - Select None or choose one or more vendor types by clicking the Add Value button. When a new Loop is created, any vendors on the transaction that match the selected vendor types will automatically be added to the Loop.

9. Click Finish to activate the integration. 🚀

⚠️ After activation, ensure all users who need access complete the steps in the User Setup section below. 👇

Part 2: User Setup

After an admin sets up Dotloop for the team, each user that wants new Loops created under their Dotloop account needs to complete the user setup steps, which will authenticate their Dotloop account with Sisu.

  1. Navigate to Account > Profile.

  2. Scroll down to the Integrations section.

  3. Click the Configure button.

  4. The Manage Dotloop Account pop-up will appear. In Step 1 - User Configuration, click Connect.

  5. Log in to your Dotloop account and agree to terms. An "Authorization Completed Successfully" message appears.

  6. Close the tab.

  7. In Step 1 - User Configuration, click Next.

  8. In Step 2 - Profile ID, select the profile you want to use.

ℹ️ Note: Most people will only have access to one profile, but if you have access to multiple profiles, select the one you want to use to create loops.

  9. Click the Finish button.

This video outlines steps in Sisu Classic. These steps are very similar to Sisu Next.

→ Setting Up the Single Account Configuration

Complete this last process if you want all new Loops created under a single user's Dotloop account.

ℹ️ Note:

For the single account configuration, the following details apply:

  • Only the single user needs to authenticate their Dotloop account with Sisu.

  • Once the steps in this section are complete, anyone will have the ability to create a Loop from a transaction.

  • Linking loops will only pull loops associated to that profileID

  • All new Loops are assigned to the selected user.

  • Linking loops will only pull loops associated to that profileID

If you'd like to set up a single account configuration, do the following:

  1. Click the Dotloop tile and then click the Reconfigure button in the top-right corner. This opens the integration setup window.

  2. Click Next. Then click Next again.

  3. In the Create Loops As drop-down, you can now select the name of the authenticated user whose account you want to use.

  4. Click Finish.
