Required Prerequisites

It's ESSENTIAL that you do each of these 4 prerequisites before turning on your integration!

1. Contact Us If You're Using Multiple BoomTown Websites

If you're running multiple websites in your BoomTown configuration, please reach out to Sisu first. It will require a 2-step setup process and some help from our support team. If you don't know if you have multiple websites, look for the drop-down shown in the screenshot below.

2. Be on the Right BoomTown Plan

To use the Sisu and BoomTown integration at no additional cost, you'll need to make sure you're on BoomTown's Grow or Advanced subscription plan. You can quickly tell if you're on this plan by going to your profile drop-down and selecting Integrations from the drop-down menu. If you don't see Sisu at the top of your Integrations center, you're on a Launch or Core subscription and need to pay a minimal integration access fee for access. Reach out to your BoomTown account executive to quickly add this integration.

3. Turn Off Other Integrations

If you are currently using a third-party provider in conjunction with Sisu and BoomTown (e.g., Real Synch, API Nation, or Zapier) OR if you're using the original BoomTown integration, please disable it before turning on this integration.

4. Get Adequate Sisu Licensing

For Sisu licensing purposes, you'll need to ensure that you have a Sisu license for each active BoomTown user. If you try to exceed your license count, you'll receive an email stating that you have no licenses left. At that point, all agents above the current license count will be added as inactive users and can be updated to active in Sisu after additional licenses have been purchased.

Key Strategies For Success

Topics in this section:

Review Your Agent Roster

Once you turn on your integration, we automatically create your Sisu agent roster, retrieving profile photos and identifying each user's role from the BoomTown user table. The video below will walk you through some additional steps to inactivate users (to free up Sisu licenses), change user roles, and update the user start date.

Video Note: To optimize viewing, watch this video on Loom. You can do this by clicking the square icon with an arrow coming out of it, which appears in the top-right corner of the video.

Add BoomTown Users First

The best practice is to add your users to BoomTown first, which will allow the integration to add users directly into Sisu. For your existing agent roster in BoomTown, they'll initially come over to Sisu as active users and you can manually make any of the users inactive. Boomtown users will be added into Sisu as either an admin or an agent (based on their Boomtown role). You'll need to update Sisu manually if you want to assign a user a TC or ISA role. Your User-Agents table in BoomTown will automatically remain in sync with your Sisu users.

Make Sure Your Settings Reflect the Correct Timezone

All your activity and logged dates will be based on your team timezone settings. Before you turn on your integration, make sure that the timezone is accurate.

Make Sure Everyone Understands Your Configuration Settings

You, your team, and your agents need to know the triggers that will move BoomTown clients into Sisu and create transactions. These triggers are determined by your configuration settings. To learn more about each of your configuration settings, check out this article in our Knowledge Base.
